In short
The N47 is a 2.0 diesel four. It is in the 118d, 320d, 520d, and X3 20d. Newer cars use the B47, which is a different engine.
Early N47 engines can wear the timing chain. A new engine gets the car back on the road. It still has to be the right N47.
Will it fit my car?
N47D20A, N47D20C, and N47D20D are not one part. The power and the year both matter.
We will not send a B47 for an N47 order.

How to pick the right engine
Order from the N47 page only if your VIN says N47. If your 320d is newer, read the B47 guide.
Warranty
Many engines come with up to 12 months warranty. A proper workshop must fit the engine. The warranty is for a fault inside the engine. It does not cover the wrong engine, a dry start, the wrong oil, or damage done after you open the crate.
Shipping
Crate shipping from Hamburg costs 299 EUR. We pack the engine in a strong crate and send it to the address on your order. You need a forklift or an engine crane to unload it.
